Has anyone put one of these in their extension? Any good tips for suppliers?

Oh yes, I'd love to hear from someone who's done this

Same here! We’re buying a house and starting to play around with the idea of having an oriel style window or a floor to ceiling window put in (dependant on cost).

I'm hoping it could be a good way to incorporate a seating area as our kitchen extension will be too small to fit a sofa. I'm guessing most sliding door suppliers could make a 2 pan sliding window to fit but I don't know who to approach to do the specification for how it would all be supported.

I've heard that as the sticking out bit is not at ground level it wouldn't count in the 3m limit for the extension

We have one and used Maxlight as the supplier. Ours does have support from ground level though so it’s not the floating style. But I believe they can do that style too.

Ours has fully sealed glass, no opening bits. We did think about designs with an opening window but they would have needed a much bulkier frame so you lose the minimalist look and the mostly seamless garden view. Again though I am sure it is possible.

Don’t know about whether it counts in the 3m sorry

I’m very interested also, and the cost as well. Covid has meant we are more limited in our planned renovations. Coupled with 2 children with ASD and uncertainty about finances, we are trying to do our renovations in stages, we might get a sense of space without the massive cost. I’m guessing you cannot get them as doors?
