Partition shower wall

I've got a lovely expensive shower room which we saved for and adore. It suits DH's long arms and legs.

I absolutely hate the glass - it's larger than normal and even though we live in a soft water area, it stains so obviously. Cleaning it is a pain.

Hoping to move in future and renovate. We want to put a shower room into the attic (awaiting plans and building advice). I absolutely love the idea of shower panels but onto a partition wall instead of a glass shower enclosure. I love this - has anyone ever done something like this before?

We have both. Glass screens are obviously harder to keep looking clean, but our partition walls do still take some maintenance (we wipe any excess moisture off after showering - I often spend longer drying the tiles than I do myself 🤣) and an extra strong fan and plenty of ventilation to ensure that they don’t get mildew. On balance I do prefer the partition though, possibly as no one can see when it is dirty 😝

Ooohhh great feedback. Thanks!
Price wise, how do they compare? I much prefer this look to a shower cubicle and would love to do this in a family bathroom too.

I suppose it would depend on how you create the partition? We did some clever rejigging when building so used an existing wall, so the price was probably comparable to a bog standard shower enclosure if not cheaper. Although said it all needs to be fully lined, etc., so there were some additional costs to consider...
