Those of you who follow Instagram interior accounts might recognise this house that's now on the market - POA

I love Instagram home accounts but don't recognise this one. Could you give me a clue?

I follow this account, although not my style I have picked up some tips. Odd she hasn't mentioned selling at all. I'm so nosy about the price!!

Love the older aspects of the house especially the hallway and bathroom but not very keen on the kitchen. Sometimes modern extensions on old stone build properties can show a very smart contrast. Sorry to say in this case photo 13 looks bloody awful. I dont think a glass walled extension works against the backdrop of that house.

I'm not entirely surprised, I got the impression that she and her husband had just stretched themselves financially by buying a new property and then their profession went to nothing with COVID, so it's possible that they are looking to ease things a bit 🤷🏼‍♀️

The bones of the house are beautiful though, and at least it's not grey. I much prefer the opulent luxe fashion for interiors rather than the pared back 'shades of grey' which seems to be the other option at the moment.

I like photo 2 but was disappointed with the rest of the images! Thought it would be a lovely minimalist vibe/modern aesthetic but no; I hate all the clashing prints. I don’t know who they are but I’m shocked they have followers tbh

Interesting I like it but agree it’s a typical generic Istagram style.

I wonder if the Devon house is theirs or just a job?

V instagram-y. I do like the bones of the house and the sq footage is great. The garden is practically nonexistent considering the size of the property, though.

That hallway would be gorgeous with that staircase and the panelling, what a shame it’s been painted black and grey! That and the chintzy wallpaper in the bathroom, all I can see is work needing doing to the place. Also seems odd all that fuss and tut in the house but then the back garden is just an expanse of grass with virtually no planting.

Although house of that age I’m more interested in when was it rewired, how old is the boiler etc.

I am buying a house and I love bold colour and prints - and see some houses on here that others are aghast at that I love - but this just seems to jar and doesn’t seem to flow or work as a whole. Maybe because it isn’t for being a home and living in, it’s for looking at in a curated fashion on insta. It doesn’t seem to actually express anyone’s personality or personal story, just their shopping habits.

Always sad if someone has to sell for financial reasons rather than because they want to though.

Her friend is hiddenhouseleeds so I wondered if they want a project with a different vibe? The Leeds market is going crazy at the moment but not sure I'd want a home that's been all over IG as a business. Each room is curated for IG as you suggested. I also think this layered style with bold colours and prints is starting to date.

It always confuses me that Roundhay is considered so exclusive too? Looking at the map it's only minutes away from the Easterly Rd which is pretty dodge.

The kitchen is awful. Weirdly spaced out, while the table is crammed over by the entry. Would have been better to have a smaller island (or none at all) and have the table overlooking the garden.

I like it. I noticed one of the interiors accounts I follow which is local to me is on the market, she also hasn't mentioned selling so I think that's probably normal. You might get a lot of time waiters in just wanting a nosey.

Based on the properties it is sandwiched by on Rightmove, I think it must be listed around £1.2-1.3million.

The garden is so boring.

I don't follow her so don't know her reason for moving, but could it be that they've bought another house in Devon as shown in her bio?

They've bought the Devon house to do up as a holiday rental according to her previous posts.

It's awful - despite all the 'daring' choices, they've somehow made that lovely old house into a bland, nothing house with a bland, nothing garden. There's no feeling of homey-ness or even cohesiveness; it's like they got a bunch of random teenagers and gave them each a room to decorate.

Same! Don't like the kitchen at all but a lot of it is gorgeous. The barren grass garden makes me a bit sad, though. Would be gorgeous with some proper plant life.

I think it must be incredibly easy to get swept up in Istagram ‘must haves’ fir house renovations.

It’s completely overdone but it’s a lovely house. I hope they’re selling by choice.

@Alongcameacat I think they're both dentists, so I imagine the closure of all dental practices plus having just bought a new house as a holiday let when the government banned people from moving around made it all quite tricky for them - a perfect storm of bad luck.

Reading my post back it all sounds a bit stalkery. She's one of my favourite instagrammers so I always stop to look at her posts/watch her stories when they're on, if I'm scrolling through. She seems very lovely, quite genuine and not cliquey.

You don’t sound stalkerish at all. Istagrammers open their doors and invite people into their homes and along their journeys. We all have our favourites that we follow regularly. They want us to do that!
