Which Boxes for Moving?

I will get removal company to pack glasses, crockery, ornaments etc but I also need to empty some cupboards and sort belongings myself. I will be able to take quite a lot of stuff to the new house before we move in so could reuse the boxes once emptied. I am thinking of using Ikea Samla boxes rather than cardboard but I'm wondering if this is a good idea and which size is best? Any advice gratefully received

I bought 18 x 12 x 12 double walled for all my books/kitchen/bedroom areas from www.kitepackaging.co.uk. Recommended by a friend, and am so glad I did as I had to move myself during lockdown. Some people number the boxes and keep an inventory, rather than label the box itself. I'd recommend buying the sealing machine thing too, much quicker than cutting the tape.

Check with the removal firm as we we’re able to rent all our boxes for 20 quid.
