Builders Dented Oven - is it still safe?

I am (after much scrimping and saving) having a new kitchen. This has involved taking everything out and treating and replastering and damp proofing the walls. While this is being done, the washing machine and oven are in the middle of the room, with the oven on top. The builders have piled a bunch of stuff on top of the oven, and when i looked this morning, the top has buckled slightly, almost closing one of the vent holes on one side. The inside of the oven looks completely ok. Is this damage likely to be serious? I dont want to make trouble, but it is pretty clear that it was caused by them piling heavy tools on top of it.

As in the vent on a gas hob? That doesn't sound good, I would be back in touch with the builders if I were you.

No, sorry, didnt make it clear - it is an electric oven that goes into a unit in the kitchen. It wont show when it is back in the unit, and the inside doesnt look damaged, just the casing dented.
The builders are still here so I have asked the boss to look at it when he comes over this afternoon.

Are they going to replace it for you. They damaged it, they will be insured.

I can ask them HappyHammy, but it is fairly new, and if it is ok to use, I am ok with keeping it. Just not sure if a dent in the casing will cause problems.
