Online estate agents

Does anyone have any experiences - good or bad? We sold our last house through House Network, and were confidently planning on using them again... but it turns out they've gone bust in the intervening years, so we're wondering whether any of their surviving competitors are any good!

The high street estate agents seem so expensive - especially given their total unwillingness to sell houses to people (separate rant...)

Thanks!

We used Yopa and they were excellent. We had to pay extra for them to carry out viewings rather than do our own as we’d already moved out of the property but even so I think it cost us less than £1,500 all in where a high street agent would have been three times that. They (or our agent at least) were great at following up viewers to get feedback etc.

I’m sure there are benefits to high street agents I can’t think of but now that most people do all their property searching on Rightmove anyway, window adverts don’t have the importance they used to.

Thanks! I'll have a look at Yopa. Did you find that you had plenty of viewings? I know I'm put off viewing with purplebricks (though I'm not entirely sure why!)

Can’t really help on that one - we were selling an unusual ‘Grand Designs’ type property and specifically instructed Yopa to make sure anyone they took to view had an AIP for their mortgage and was proceed-able so we didn’t get loads of nosey lollygaggers. They were really good about doing that, though.

That sounds hopeful! Our house should be quite easy to sell (I hope!) so I don't want to throw money away.
