Washing Machine Help

FAQs · 25/07/2020 17:22

Is anyone an expert on washing machines?

We had a power cut a few days ago, a regular occurrence here, anyway, the washing machine was mid cycle and stopped.

Drained it, rescued the clothes, cleaned up the flood and no power is getting to the washing machine.

I’ve changed the fuse in the plug and the wall socket and it’s completely dead, it’s 13 months old.

A week or so ago all the lights were flashing so that might be connected?

It’s a Indesit Ecotime IWDD71435

I’m broke, huge Covid pay cut, anyone help, please?

Have you checked the socket itself is OK? Where did you get it from? White goods should be expected to last longer than that so maybe try speaking to the retailer

Tried a different socket and plugged another appliance into the socket to check it was fine, first thing I did before going out to buy new fuses.

It’s from Curry’s but out of the 12 month warranty.

maybe the whole circuit tripped, check the consumer unit to see any mcb's is down.
