Is anyone able to advise on what it’s like to live in BOA with kids? Are the schools (junior and high schools) good, and is the town itself a bit too touristy? It’s obviously very beautiful! Would love to know what it’s like from a parent who’s already based there...

My friend lives there and we've visited a few times. It seems lovely, the kids are well settled at the local primary (don't know about secondary). I don't think it's too touristy but she does complain about the traffic through the small town centre a lot when we go!

I live in a nearby town and a friend lives there. It's very, very busy to drive through and rammed through the summer, and the houses are quite expensive for what you get. It's also quite small but apparently the schools are decent.

The surrounding countryside is great, and it's minutes from Bath and 30 minutes from Bristol on the train so good for shopping and commuting.

Thanks this is really useful to hear! May I ask which town you live in? As also interested in the region and where the best schools are. Huge thanks!

Trowbridge! Which I love, but locally is considered a bit crap. It's got all the facilities that B on A uses though, like cinema, M&S food, 24 Hour Tesco. There is a very good Catholic high school.
