Anyone point me to areas of Cheshire that could suit?

I’m not familiar with Cheshire at all but there’s the possibility of a job offer there. We’re looking for a four bed detached for around £500,000 if possible. Ideally semi rural. Needs to be close to decent primary and secondary schools and a commuting distance of no more than 45 mins from Runcorn.

Is this possible and if so any areas to look at and any areas to avoid?

Thank you

Frodsham.
I would cerainly rule out Holmeschapel, the commute would be awful.

Meant to add Appleton or Daresbury would be an option also.

Lymm, Tarporley both have great schools and lovely areas. You should get a house for your budget. Delamere/Kelsall is a lovely more rural area with highly regarded primary school.
Holmes Chapel has great schools but I wouldn't fancy the commute to Runcorn from there.
Hartford has great choice of schools and 2 train stations so very popular with commuters and more house for your money there than Tarporley.

All of the above, maybe also have a look at Cuddington, lots of nice villages near Beeston. I used to work in Runcorn and quite a few people travelled in from Wirral, not everyone’s ideal commute but might be worth exploring Heswell area.
I’m over towards Warrington which is an easy commute to Runcorn but not rural, rural - Stretton, Hatton, parts of Appleton (puck carefully as there’s huge building plans there), Antrobus worth exploring.
Good luck!
