Combi boiler - a couple of questions

Good morning, I have had a combi boiler fitted and find that the water temperature tends to fluctuate at times. Occasionally the water turns cold after a few minutes (when we use the over bath shower first thing on a morning) which isn't pleasant. Also, the water starts off at the correct temperature but then can run lukewarm. Our cold water pressure is super strong and we have mixer taps if that's relevant. I don't know anything about these things but need to decide whether to call the plumber back. Has anyone experienced this before? Also, can I ask what temperature your boiler is set to? Ours is currently on 45° which seems low to me and, as I said, the temperature does fluctuate. I'd be glad if any advice please as I'm beginning to regret having this installed. Thank you.

Is there anyone here with a similar experience please? xxx

I just checked my boiler and it's at 59 degrees so possible yours is set too low. I haven't ever had the problems you describe. It usually runs cold for a minute as it's flushed out the water standing in the pipes, but then it should be a steady hot.

From memory ours is set to 66. We also have quite good water pressure, and in the winter have to turn the shower down from full pressure to get the water hot enough, as the combi doesn't seem to be keep up with the water flow.

Try putting the temperature higher and check if it's on a comfort mode etc.

Thank you all so much. I have altered the temp to 60° which seems much better. Interesting to hear of having to turn down the shower pressure - that sounds like something I should try too as it is very forceful.
