Where should we get our new bathroom?

We need a new bathroom. It's been a thought since we moved in 11 years ago, but has been put on the back burner as other things have been more urgent.

Now it's time to do the bathroom, but we have no idea how much it's going to cost, or even what we want really. It's not big enough for a bath and a shower separately, so we've decided to go for just a shower. So what/where would people recommend? Pictures would be great if people are willing to share.

Check out Houzz or Pinterest: thousands of photos to inspire you. For a budget bathroom, you’re probably looking at 3-5k depending mainly on labour costs.

I need to do the bathroom too so watching with interest. We did it years ago in a previous house and used dolphin I think. Personally I’d want someone to design it, buy all the stuff, organise all the trades, and do th lot, inc flooring, tiling, and the actual bathroom, and likely strengthen the floor, not sure who to use though. I really don’t want to be doing it all seperate

Some smaller, independent shops offer the full service.

bluntness that's what we want too. Just tell someone reliable that we want a new bathroom. Then they can come in and design, provide and fit a lovely new bathroom, including decorating.

JoJo thanks for the estimate on prices. That's what I was expecting, so glad to hear I was in roughly the right ballpark. I'll have a look on Pinterest, thanks.

I'm currently doing a very small bathroom in a one bed property. I rang a local bathroom supplier & very helpful chap emailed me a selection of business cards for trades who buy from them. I contacted a couple , met one last week to go through job & for him to view it. The quote is £2850 for all work, plumbing, electrics, plastering, tiling, fixing cuoboards etc plus a couple of small other jobs in the house. The property is in the SE. Prices for fixtures varies greatly. The total price for the shower was £1600 from one supplier but £680 from Victorian Plumbing. Internet is clearly much cheaper but it's horses for courses really. It can be done relatively cheaply, I estimate about £2K for shower, WC, vanity unit & sink, 2 cupboard, mirror, radiator & tiles, so total approx £5K. However fittings would be considerably more from a showroom store.
