Howdens' wood flooring?

Hi!

We're looking to put some new wood flooring down and hoping to pop into Howdens this weekend to have a look at their flooring.

Does anyone have any experience with their wood flooring? Would you recommend it? Do you regret it?

Also any idea on price (understood they sell to tradesmen who give us the final price, and of course it depends what you buy, but even an approximate price per sqm would help loads)?

Hiya. We bought our flooring from there over 2 years ago and fitted it ourself. We used a very expensive (not sure where we got it from and even if I did explain it, it might not be in the same city 😂) ... underlay which I think makes a massive difference. Normally you can lift insulation and chuck it about easily, this stuff you can barley lift!!! Anyways, I have been so impressed with our howdens flooring. It has worn so well, we have a big foot fall, such a busy house. And it's in our hallway, straight through from the front door to patio doors. We spill things on it, we have a Karcher floor cleaner that we use it on all the time, kids chuck toys on it, parents dogs claws come on it! Brilliant.

If you mean the wood effect laminate, I have the ‘professional’ grade from Howden’s in my kitchen and it is awful. It scratches easily with chairs and has a few chips in it and we’re not a ‘heavy handed’ family. We’ve used Quickstep laminate innother areas and have absolutely no issues with that one.
I’m going to swap the kitchen floor for Quickstep as soon as I can afford to.

Thank you so much!

At the moment I was looking at the oak engineered flooring. We have a dog and a son on the way so looking for something they could withstand a child and pet.

We've done the whole of the downstairs with Howdens wood flooring several years ago. Still looks lovely, even with two kids and three dogs.

Lol so impressed 3 times over 😂😂😂

@bigmonkeys 😂😂

@BurtsBeesKnees amazing! Exactly what I'm after!!

Looks like Howdens could be a strong contender then!
