Mortgage application stuck with underwriters

Our mortgage application has been with the underwriters for days and they have not looked at it yet. We have applied to port our mortgage with the Halifax using one of their advisers and it has been sat with the underwriter for almost 2 weeks.

Is this happening to anyone else?

Yes! We keep getting email updates just telling us that our application is with the underwriters. It’s been over a week. We’re porting our existing mortgage too, but with a Different bank

The waiting is driving me crazy. We are at the end of a long chain and they all want to go and we cannot do anything until the underwriters come back with an answer.

Someone else on here was saying the same thing. So it’s not just you!

If you're dissatisfied then call them and express that to them

The adviser has said he has no way of contacting underwriting and we just have to wait. I am so frustrated with him because he has no sense of urgency at all.
