Neighbour knocked down driveway wall

Hi,

Just need some advice really on where to go with this, so we have been in our property for 3 years. We are polite to our neighbors and not had a problem with them as such before. We are attached to them and in the middle of our property we have a brick wall separating both our driveways. I came home from work to find our wall had been completely knocked down and the foundations have been ripped up too, I was shocked to have not been consulted honestly. So I thought I'd check what our boundaries say so I spoke to land registry. It wasnt clear at all, and just shows a red line around the whole of my property but it isn't clear on detail of wall etc. So I presume it is a party wall. If that's the case it says online that they should have consulted me beforehand. How do I go about approaching this? I really do not want confrontation, I have spoken to them in the past about their dogs being noisy barking while they are out and they didn't like before that I raised it so I'm kind of nervous speaking to them about this. I am also annoyed as I wasnt around and we have a car on the driveway which I would have thought they would have asked me to move it for them.
Anyway any advice would be much appreciated many thanks

Was the wall astride the boundary line? If so then they should have talked to you. Although they may have owned (paid for) the wall.
If fully on their side then it was their wall.

No it's built in the middle of both our attached properties so a shared wall. It's a 1930s home and they neighbors only been there a few years so they didn't build the wall initially. I am just annoyed because it looks awful and bare there now and I don't want our cars to hit each other Sad
