Estate Agents Frustrations - All time high!

I have to vent to someone/anyone about this because I am sure there is many a horror story from people on here.

We viewed a house Thursday night, Friday morning phoned EA and asked to book in a second viewing but regardless we would without doubt be offering. They "very kindly" fit us in around the apparent 8 OTHER! viewing at that property that would be taking place on the Saturday.

Cut to Saturday morning... a call from the EA saying the vendor has accepted an offer from a neighbour on the Friday night so viewing is cancelled.

As it was the dream home, we wouldn't go down fighting.. sounded a bit suss. My other half "accidentally" turned up for his appointment anyway, only to be welcomed in by the vendor (who we had already met) to find out he had NO IDEA we would be offering!!!?!?! What cemented that was he also had no idea we were chain free with AIP in place ready to go.

So many things have got me frustrated on this, with what the agents have told us was such a popular home and offers coming imminently why would you not keep your client up to date? Also, we aren't talking weeks here it was the matter of a day - a weekend MAX!

From what I can see from Rightmove the offer went through the agents so we a just baffled and frustrated. We left our number with the vendor in case he changes his mind, but wished him all the best.

I remember when we originally sold a number of viewers wanted to meet us in person, I never really wanted to, but now I am going to start doing that. I don't trust EA at all!
