Yes..don't do it. They will keep you there for hours.....you will leave with a bog standard kitchen design and a big price tag. The price doesn't seem to include things like electrics....that's extra.

We had a couple of appointments for them to design the kitchen etc but found they were very expensive, even with their “if you buy today you’ll get this for free” offers.

We went with Benchmarx in the end - design & choice of cupboards/colours was a lot nicer and they were half the price of Wren.

Sorry one more thing - after our 2nd appointment, I googled Wren customer service. Seems their sales team are excellent but the service once you’ve signed up & paid is appalling.

I had a brilliant experience - id seen threads and read the reviews but thought I'd pop in at least for the design bit. They worked well with me and I loved the designs (my designs changed several times due to my builder) and they managed to quickly get my kitchen delivered as I was heavily pregnant. Ended up giving birth the week after! I had no issues with them, and I love my kitchen. I think it varies branch to branch so may be worth looking at your local's reviews?

We used Dream Doors and they were excellent.

I have a Wren kitchen and I'm very, very happy with it. The fitter was a different story.

I wouldn't recommend the electric opening drawers and cupboards though, it's like living with Arkwrights Till.

Will let you know in a few days... Kitchen fit part way through.

Happy with planning, happy with build quality on units so far... but there does seem to be a bit of a breakdown in communication between the various sub contractors used by Wren ("XYZ is A's job...", "No it's not it's B's job", "But I can't do XYZ until PQR has been done so it must be A's job..."). We'll see in a few days what the end result is.

But it's all a bit frustrating as part of the reason I went with Wren was the complete design and fit service. If I'd known it was a "partial fit, but you get the privilege of project managing it, but we won't actually tell you this, and we'll be bad at communicating which bits we want you to project manage" then I might well have gone with someone else.

Don't do it. I did, 2 years ago. It was for a large expensive kitchen and the entire thing was such a disaster they ended up paying me compensation.

Normalmumandwife · 19/07/2020 07:25

Started off with them. Design mediocre and I couldn't take it away to ponder and change. Yes the sub contractors are exactly that; they want to supply the kitchen and that's it except for an expensive price tag. Went with DIY Kitchens and delighted

Love wren! Got a kitchen fitted during lockdown due to oven bit working in new property. Had a benchmarx kitchen put into old house 18 months prior - wren quality better, plus benchmarx was very expensive to be fitted because they have to build each individual cupboard/drawer whereas wren is delivered ready. Took them 5 days to fit a 16ish cupboard kitchen
