Hi, can anyone advise what it cost to get their house rendered, I only have a 3 bedroom mid terraced house and it will be just the front and back.

I had 3 sides of a 4 bed detached house done this year. With removal of old render, application of new render and painting, plus the scaffolding needed, it was about £10.5k. This was in the south-east Home Counties. We had 3 quotes and they ranged from about £8k to £13k. Some seem o use a special system such as K-rend but we were advised to go with standard render and masonry paint. Was done for a specialist plasterer/renderer. Previously white but now a very light grey and looks great.

Through coloured render like K rend is £40-60 per m2. Maybe a bit more in the south. The older style of render which needs painting is a bit less.

Painting render is a pain. I never want to do it again.

I'm interested in this thread, I've seen a few houses this week with beautiful smooth white render and they look fantastic. I'm just about to buy a house which is beautiful indoors but has some interesting stone cladding on the front, which will have to go!

We are having 300sq metres of 2 layers of rendering kango hammered off and then re rendered and finished with KIEM Pure White .
Our costs include having the roof stripped as well and insulated to a high standard so would not be relevant to your case . But look into KIEM finishes .
We are very impressed with what we have seen and it should not need re painting for many many years at least 15 .
