How many viewings to expect

Crikey.
House went up on Rightmove yesterday afternoon and the EA has called to arrange 12 viewings over today and Monday already. I was not expecting that at all.
Is it usual to have a sudden first bit of interest?

Because of stamp duty properties are flying off the market. MIL house isn't even on the market yet and she's already accepted an offer for 1.6 million. We've just brought a place and it wasn't even up a week, same with all the others we were looking at!

Wow. I'm the East Midlands not London. I'm amazed.

Sounds similar to our situation OP. You'll probably have a choice of offers to pick from best and final bu the end of the week if you're looking to move quickly. Good luck.

SW Sheffield. I've had 40 viewings of my house this week! Shock

I had 55 viewings in 3 months.

many investors are buying now in the East Mids - I'm viewing too and agent said it's a FTB investors mainly due to mortgages being 'still easy' and investors buying anything cheap as bigger houses have gone up in price due to the stamp duty thing.
Be careful with investors as they tend to offer theasking/over asking price to secure smth and then may try to lower the offer.

thistooshallpass I'm curious what the offers wer like? Looks like you haven't accepted any - or took a long time.
