Does anyone have experience of a neighbour extending and putting high level windows on the ground floor facing your garden?
Is there much light overspill into your garden?
Is it annoying / intrusive, or fine?

It'll be a kitchen / family room so i expect lights in the evening until bedtime

I had a neighbour behind my house build a large conservatory to start with they had no blinds / curtains and bright lights so it did annoy me a bit but it faced my kitchen so I could only see it from the kitchen window.
I would of found it much more annoying if i could see it / be affected by it from my living room .
I would say once it gets to dusk you either need to close the blinds or dim the lights to a very soft level .
Remember that with your lights on & blinds open at night you may attract the attention of ne'er do wells too .
