Kitchen Diner Size

Hi all

We are in the process of buying a house and we are renovating it. We are taking a wall out in turn making a lovely kitchen diner.

It will be 9m x 4.6m

Is that good / big enough for a kitchen diner? Does anyone have anything in comparison? I'd like to see some photos!!

Thanks

Yes, that's a very decent size. I'm planning something similar and it will be 7.4m x 3.6m.

To get an idea of photos / dimensions, Houzz is a good site showing real homes.

If you're trying to understand the dimensions, marking the room out within someone elses home is really helpful. (I got the measuring tape out in my mums kitchen to get a sense of the scale, bit of masking tape on the floor for 'cabinets', 'table' etc.) Do this indoors rather than in an open space outside though or the feeling of space will be off.

I also found it useful to look at zoopla listings and developer listings for local new build projects, to compare room sizes.

Yes, although it's long and fairly narrow. Agree with looking up Houzz / pinterest and of course Rightmove.
