If you were going to have a light grey carpet...

And light grey doors/frames in your hall, stairs and landing, what colour would you do your walls?

Preferably not white.

I'm really struggling for inspiration!

Lilac/mauve depending on how much light there is

We have light grey carpets upstairs and magnolia walls (previous owner choice) and the walls actually look grey/light purple due to the reflection from the carpet. We have a lot of natural light so not sure if that makes a difference.

We have grey carpets upstairs and our hallway is a very very pale blue.

It actually depends on the undertone of the light grey you are using. It’s such a common mistake I find in clients homes when paints clash as the undertones are different, especially with the use of grey and more so in grey on grey spaces . It’s just Something to consider as one light grey maybe more blue and another more pink and it will have a huge effect on colour on the wall.
