Hi all,
I’m trying to do up my mum’s very neglected house, and am currently repainting the bedroom.
The layer under the wallpaper (lining paper?? plaster?) covering one of the internal walls is damaged and started cracking and breaking off in chunks when I used a wallpaper steamer on it.
What’s the best course of action? Should I rip the entire thing off and strip it back to the bare wall? What then, plaster, or stick up lining paper?
