Recommend a power drill

My 10year old power drill has just died. Can anyone recommend a good one?
Budget about £50ish (unless I really need to go higher to get a decent one?) Just for general DIY jobs around the house/garden. Thank you.

I can’t quite remember but the type of battery is important.

Nicad springs to mind but I can’t remember if that’s what you want or best avoided!

Someone will be along to advise hopefully.

The old batteries used to have a problem as if you didn’t fully charge them then they wouldnt fully charge again. But the new ones are better and last longer and don’t have that problem about fully charging after previous short charges.

I’d get two batteries so you can be charging one while using the other one.
