Tidy up tile edges

We've just had a new bathroom basin fitted and tiled a splashback - but the tile edges look a bit scruffy.

What can I do that's easy to fit (now tiles are on) to smarten it up?

I was told we could sand them and then just PVA them or paint them. We ended up moving before getting around to it, though
