What colour to paint kitchen walls?

Need some advice but can't post a pic as we haven't moved into the new house yet.

DP & I moving into a new house & have no clue what to paint the kitchen/diner area.

The units are a grey/taupe shaker style with oak worktops.

The tiles are a grey/blue/slate subway tile. However there is also a feature wall of tiles where the cooker is that are that funky mosiac style and have all grey/blue/mustard/cream tones in.

We have an oak dining set which will tie in lovely.

At the minute it is all painted a colour that looks very much like Inchyra Blue from F&B (link attached):

I'm not 100% keen on the paint as I tend to prefer something lighter. But I'm equally at a loss as to what to paint the room. The kitchen is lovely but has a lot of colours going on.

I'm sorry I can't post a picture so everyone can get a better idea, but does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks in advance! Smile

I'd take inspiration from the tiles and paint it a very fresh looking yellow depending on what shade works best with the mustard tone.
Yellow in the kitchen says morning sunshine to me :)

If you already have a lot of colours just stick to white.

Fired Earth Old Ochre?

I would have opted for something like the blue upthread based on cabinet & worktop options!

Otherwise I’d probably try and find a grey/greige with the same undertone as the cabinets but a couple of shades lighter
