Plywood cabinetry and stairs - what flooring?

Hello all,

We're doing a big home renovation, and as part of that, we are adding lots of storage and a new staircase. We're going to use very light plywood for this - see attached image for inspiration.

The question is - what flooring goes with this? I've only ever had wooden flooring in living areas. I think a wooden floor and wooden built-ins everywhere is just too much wood.

Although I could get my head around polished concrete for a clean, modern look... my DH hates it. Too industrial for him. I might get him to consider something like poured resin, but it is very expensive and I am unsure if it's compatible with the subfloor.

I don't want an echo-y house, and this flooring will have to go through the entryway, kitchen, utility and big open plan living / dining room.

So - ideas?

Oh - and I forgot to say that the flooring has to be compatible with electric, aka dry, underfloor heating.
