ELECTRICIAN NOT GIVING ANY PAPERWORK

2 years ago (yeah I know ages) we had a kitchen refit with new circuitboard as all kitchen electrics out of date. I asked several times including following up with calls to electrician and the kitchen fitter who ecommended him as to getting paperwork but got nowhere.
I eventually got electrician via their professional association who were not pleased but I am unsure what can be done now. They want him to check it and issue a certificate but surely in the 2 years anything could have happened? When -apart from an Eicr- do you
need paperwork eg for insurance, houseselling? Thanks

Dont know what an Eicr is but a certificate is always requested these days when you sell. How long do you intend to stay 8n the property as if its 10 years plus i would wait and get electrics tested just before you sell so the certificate is up to date.

What does this mean?

"I eventually got electrician via their professional association who were not pleased"

Was the electrician a member of a Competent Person scheme when the did the work?

Needs to be part P certified to work on any kitchen electrics as far as I understand. Perhaps he isn't so he knows he's in the wrong, hence no paperwork?

He is a member of Napit
