I like the idea of claimed wooden floor in my kitchen/diner/living room area, but the area would suit a lighter flooring to keep the area as light as possible.
Are there any nice light/white coloured wooden floors? I would love it to be reclaimed too.
I did try and paint my existing wooden pine floor in the kitchen white - it looked great for a while, but was so cold and draughty and basically needed re-painting every year, which is too disruptive with a busy household and lots of animals walking where they shouldn't!
