We're starting to look into extending our kitchen diner but think we may have some issues with our property being 'link' detached.
The houses are all essential 4 bedroom detached properties apart from every other property (including ours) links to next door in the dining room for about 2 metres. The dining room and kitchen are open plan- the kitchen area doesn't link and we have almost a 'side return' down the side of the kitchen.
We want to extend the kitchen across the back and into the side return- effectively making the 'link' part bigger.
Has anyone had any experience of extending a link detached house. Is it difficult to do legally/ with planning? Just want to get an idea before we talk to builders/ planning/ solicitors. TIA
