Moving to no fixed address

I'm planning to move in a month or so, and for a couple of weeks I will be in a hotel while I sort out a rental. What did other people in this situation do about a forwarding address for mail? PO boxes are apparently for business use only.

I think the post office does a "mail keep" service - they hang on to it rather than forward it, have a look at the website.

The mail keep service unfortunately just delivers to your address once you move.
