Range cookers

Lived in my current property for just over a year and the rangemaster (classic 90) is not working well.

We are thinking of replacing it, what do others recommend?

Current one is 90cm long if that helps.

90cm wide induction hob and ovens under to match?

Agree with the induction hob and integrated ovens if you can remodel kitchen and get the bits. Have had two range cookers. Now have 90cm induction him and three ovens. It’s amazing and I would never go back. Cleaning so much easier and the functionality and size of the ovens is far superior

Falcon is my first choice but just too expensive now. I have on order a stoves Richmond which seems to be a high spec, good reviews and looks nice too. I hated a Britannia I had.

We've just bought a stoves precision 90cm has a gas hob, gas oven and electric oven. Very happy with it so far

Stoves make some nice ones, stay away from Smeg apparently

Ooh, I'd say get another Rangemaster!

We have a smeg one, it's shite.

We only still have it because it's 80cm wide and we can't find another 80cm wide cooker to fill the gap.

I love our Rangemaster, 5 years old this year and still looks and works like new.

I’m not a fan. My DSis has one and it’s pretty average after 15 years. When one oven goes wrong the whole thing is binned.

I’ve a wide induction hob and two separate ovens. One eye level and one under the hob. Both are great and give me many cooking options. I would go for this over a range every single time. Greater flexibility and much easier to clean and if you can reconfigure and go for eye level, do it!

Does your Rangemaster need repairing? Is it gas or electric? The one we had (gas) was very reliable. Unless it has a ceramic electric hob which are a bit rubbish.

The rangemaster we have currently is 15+ years old and is total crap. I would never ever have one again. Oven thermostat has been changed annually since we bought the house 4 years ago. The grill is ridiculous. Anyway I dread cooking on it and thank god we can get a different one now we are finally doing the kitchen. I know people love rangemaster but I think they are dreadful. I have heard that falcon have gone down too

We took out our Aga and ordered a Rangemaster Professional induction. That was before lockdown, them we were told September would be the earliest delivery. Couldn't wait 5 months without a cooker! Som we ordered a Belling range induction. The ovens I couldn't fault at all, although the induction is slightly fiddly to use - still brilliant though. We saved over £2000 on the original order so I'm really happy.

If there is an issue with the range master have it repaired....

Mine is 7 years old and my mums is 20 and they are great
