Hello, I desperately need some help and wonder if anyone here would be able to help? A few weeks ago a car came crashing through our front wall. They were high on drugs and missed my husband by a metre and children by half an hour. We are unable
to stay in the house for 6 months. We are living with a relative at the moment. There are no rental properties available that a similar to what we have come from. We have been offered disturbance allowance which is at a rate that wouldn’t even cover the cost of a 2 bed rental in the area. We have no storage where we are and are having to constantly travel back and forth to get clothes, stuff for home learning, etc and then put them away again. Has anyone been through something like this? Does anyone know what the limits on disturbance allowance are? I don’t know what we are really entitled to and so it makes it really difficult to know if we are being treated fairly or not.
