Kitchen Remodel -Taking the acrylic layer off a gloss cupboard

Currently trying to change a gloss white kitchen into a shaker style matt white, have started vinyl wrapping the ends and kick boards which look great but the vinyl won't cover the gloss without hundreds of bubbles (tried every trick, dh has tonnes of experience working with it) so the only option I can see is to take off the acrylic layer, stripping it to MDF and then add the wood detailing and wrap BUT I've no idea how to do that. It seems to be on the front and strips around the door.

Anyone done this or have any advice? Ideally wouldn't have ruined the doors as it's only a year and a half old (we didn't pick it) but isn't our style at all but if I can't work around it I'll have to. Tia!
