Is there a way to prolong these fascia boards?

I’m pretty sure our fascia boards and guttering needs replacing completely. The thing is it’s going to cost and we are not going to have the money for quite a while. This picture shows the worst part. Is there anything we can do to tide us over? I’m thinking wood filler or testament. I know I can sand and paint them but what about this part? I’ve been looking at b and q at wood strengthener and stuff. What would you do?

You probably need to cut out that worst bit, but you could hide the join behind the drainpipe, assuming that it is only the end bit that is rotten.

Then give the whole thing a rub down and coat of paint.
