Painting the inside of a summer house- anyone done it?

Have an old summer house that's pine and am revamping it. Thinking of painting it inside to make it lighter as it's in a shady corner.

Anyone done it? If so how many coats of paint were needed, did it cover any knots in the pine and was it a real chore?

I'm just about to do mine too, I'm using culprinol and I have already painted the outside which took two coats so I'm guessing I'll need two for the inside too x

To properly cover the knots, I would recommend two coats of a high quality primer before you paint. Knots can be very hard to cover with just paint, and they bleed through. I've painted a pine panelled room, used primer, and it came out beautifully. I was told to use two coats of primer by someone who paints professionally.
