Front doors with lots of glazing

Has anyone done this already and can help? We need a new front door - it's onto a very dark hallway and faces west so we want to let in as much afternoon and evening light in. Are there are any brands or designs you recommend that have a large amount of glazing (and are still pretty secure)? Thank you!

Solidor have quite a number with a lot of glazing. Be careful about security. Get better internal lighting?

Thank you - I'll look at Solidor. Artificial lighting's no substitute for sunlight though is it?

www.rockdoor.com/inspiration

We have a Rockdoor Illinois and it faces east and lets in loads of light even with patterned/obscure glass for privacy.
If you want a bit more glazing, look at the Portland - it's the same but without the central section iyswim.

We have a solid wood front door with a long narrow section of glass in it. We have a full height window alongside the door (one third width of door) All the glass is etched. South facing. This is enough to let lots of light in, but nobody can see in. You might not need as much glass as you think.

We have a double glazing glass front door. It's obscured glass like a bathroom and it has completely changed our hall. We went with a local glazing specialist and could choose different security ratings.

I made the mistake of not fitting double glazing to ours, it's now just a condensation magnet.

Thats lovely @GingerFluffyCat
