Can anyone tell me if I can paint a rad with satin paint please?

Depends what you mean as Satin. You can use Satinwood or Eggeshell. Can't use satin emulsion.

I just used satin from wilkos, it said it was for interior wood and metal. Came out great

Would I need to prime/undercoat, or just 2 coats of the satin be ok? (Real novice here)

I just scrubbed the radiator with hot water and fairy liquid! I used two coats

The finish will be better if you use an oil based undercoat and then two coats of satinwood.
