Glass bannister

Has anyone had a glass bannister installed? I'm in the middle of renovating my house and we love the idea of a glass bannister to keep the area light. We've not had any quotes yet but would be interested to hear if anyone has done it and if possible how much it cost. Thanks!

If you mean glass bannister - no. But if you mean glass balustrade - yes. A local glass company came and template for us (if the gap doesn't change you could do it yourself with glass sheets off eBay). In 2018 we paid £1300 for one flight of stairs plus landing run in glass, for templating, supplying and fitting. HTH
