Any plumbing experts here? Electric to mixer shower

Does anyone know if it's an easy job to change from an electric shower to a mixer one?

Thanks in advance.

have you got a hot-water cylinder? What colour?

or have you got a combi boiler?

It's a combi boiler. A glow worm flexicom.

When my bathroom was updated they switched from electric to mixer off my combo boiler.
Works a treat and gives me much better flow.
No longer have to choose between hot trickle or cold downpour

My electric shower is broken and I need to get another one. It was an awful shower anyway. I'm not getting the whole bathroom done ATM.

I'm just trying to work out how expensive a job it's likely to be. I presume plumbing in the hot water will add to the cost?

then it will probably be fairly easy if you want to put it in the bathroom or other room that already contains both a hot-water pipe and a cold-water pipe.

Test the water flow by turning on the hot and cold taps together and seeing how long it takes to fill a bucket at showering temperature (hotter than a bath), time it, and calculate litres per minute delivered.

Thanks!

I have recently put in a Mira Realm thermostatic mixture shower to replace our old electric one. We live in a Victorian house and I wanted a more traditional look.

I was worried that the water pressure wouldn’t be enough as the combi boiler is downstairs at the opposite end of the house to the shower room.

It is fantastic. I can’t quite believe how powerful the water pressure/flow is. We have a Hudson Reed mixer shower in the downstairs bathroom and the Mira is much more powerful.

That's the one I've been looking at! Thanks :)
