We have been in the process of selling our house and buying our dream house since January, we were meant to complete in April as our sellers wanted a quick house purchase and they were moving into rented accommodation whilst they looked for a house to buy. Making a really nice easy chain. then lockdown happened and they found a house to buy, we said we didn't mind waiting to get their purchase aligned with ours.
Now we are 4 weeks after house moves were allowed to happen again, we HAVE to complete next week as our buyers mortgage offer expires at the end of June and they will have to completely reapply with a new valuation on our house.
It appears that our sellers sellers are being rather slow, they don't seem to be in a rush despite the fact that the chain could collapse if we don't complete by the end of the month :(
I just needed to vent somewhere people understand, have driven all my friends moaning about the house. I have EVERYTHING crossed that it all goes ahead next week but am trying not to get too excited. Urgh, house buying is sooooo stressful.
