We live at the end of a quiet, remote rural lane. At the far end of our driveway there is an area which is a popular spot for dog walkers to park in the daytime and young people to park up at night & smoke weed etc.
They often chuck rubbish out of their windows e.g. drinks cans, ,takeaway boxes, which has got worse lately.
When DH catches them (if he's taking the dog out late at night) he politely asks them to move on, but we often aren't aware they are there until we see the mess the next morning. It is private land, part of it is owned by us, but they would not know that.
We are thinking of putting CCTV on the far garden wall close to the site, or maybe hidden in a hedge (no electricity supply to here) to catch them out & deter them - so if DH sees them out there he can get their number plate, & report to the police if they are doing drugs, and hopefully they will move on somewhere else eventually.
Does anyone know if CCTV exists that would run off a battery, or got any other useful advice?
