Which one of the above properties would you choose?... Also, how much would you be willing to offer?

They’re both on the Edge of the Lakes with good train links to Lancaster/Manchester.

Thanks

Depends how many of you there are and what you want:

  1. No garage but does have a second bathroom. You'll be paying for 'done' decor but if it's not to your taste (it's not mine) then you'll pay again to change it. The garden is very disjointed from the house - no access from living space.
  2. Needs work but you could really make it your own. Gorgeous outlook. But only one bathroom.
  3. Totally different!! Impossible to compare because I can't imagine choosing between them.

The 2nd one. I love the rock facade. I'd want new kitchen and bathrooms and to redecorate in all those houses, and if i had a choice i wouldn't choose terrace.

feliciabirthgiver · 14/06/2020 13:59

The 3rd one is lovely

Kopsy · 14/06/2020 14:14

I've seen the 2nd one on here before, the owner was looking for advice!

user1478299641 · 14/06/2020 14:18

No 1 is much lower than the houses across the street so I'd be concerned about the possibility of flooding/being overlooked

LoafingLiz · 14/06/2020 14:20

No.2 with the view without a doubt.

user1478299641 · 14/06/2020 14:25

No 2 has more long term potential and has a much bigger/nicer garden

ExchangedCat · 14/06/2020 14:32

@MayFayner yes, I have property 2 saved on Rightmove from when the owner posted the link for advice!

francienolan · 14/06/2020 16:00

The third one is my favourite but I prefer a house to a bungalow. Of the bungalows I really like the second one.

missyB1 · 14/06/2020 16:10

Number 3 but does depend on the quality of the build.

Comefromaway · 14/06/2020 16:13

What’s your situation? How many of you/children/ages etc?

CherrySpritz · 14/06/2020 16:19

@MayFayner

I’ve seen the second one on here before! Someone linked to it a few months ago... I’m half thinking it was the owner looking for advice about selling.

I think I prefer the second one although that’s based on the house alone, I have no idea what the locations are like.

You’re right! We were all surprised there were just bare light bulbs in all the rooms and told the owner to get some shades. Looks like she ignored our advice as the bulbs are still bare. 😂
Dorobie · 14/06/2020 16:20

It’s not a coincidence... I do know of the owner of No.2 and know she’d asked for advice on here.

It’s the only house I’ve been in out of them all, but it wasn’t when I was looking to buy. It’s on a lovely road, with great garden and views. But the village as a whole is just lovely.

I posted on here as I wanted to get some non biased opinions

I don’t like number one. It looks like it would need gutting & im not much for the layout.

For me number 3 would be best depending on quality of build. But we are a family with older teens who work from home. If we were a young family then number 2 is a nice layout.

GameSetMatch · 14/06/2020 16:34

I wouldn’t live in Grange over Sands if you paid me, it’s such a depressing town, it’s run down and really creepy. Why not buy in Lancaster instead.

Dorobie · 14/06/2020 16:47

Thanks @GameSetMatch for your input... I live nr Grange now, I’m from here originally and have family in the area. I also have some lovely friends and I work locally. So I should be offended by your post but I’m not as it’s so ignorant.
Allithwaite is a really lovely village and closer to Cartmel than Grange. Cartmel has a shop, although Grange has a bigger one

Second one. Views and space.

First one is pure FB

AdalindMeisner · 14/06/2020 17:05

I wouldn't choose either, I would go for your 3rd property.
