As the title asks, has anyone had a recent (in the last year) conservatory with glass or tiled roof, or extension built?
I am looking for a breakout space to enjoy the views of the garden when we can't use it, given the lovely Scottish weather! I have a kitchen diner and a snug for the kids so this would be a separate space off our existing kitchen requiring no structural openings.
It would have to be useable all year, insulated floor, either insulated roof with lightweight roof (if conservatory, if not a regular roof) or eco glass roof to have view of evening sky, it would have to have a couple of sockets, lights and radiator, dwarf walls insulated. French doors and opening windows. No soil stacks or rainwater downpipes in way.
I would be looking at 3m projection x 5m length.
Has anyone had one built recently? If so how much did it cost for supply and build?
I have contacted a couple of local companies and have basic drawings atm, just wanting to check budget incase we are wasting our time. As there is a lot of other jobs that need doing in the house if it is going to cost an arm and leg!
Thank you in advance!
