Recommendations for fitted bedroom furniture?

I've seen lots of advice and feedback on built in kitchens, but nothing much for fitted bedroom furniture.

Anybody have experience of suppliers and is there something similar to DIY Kitchens where you can plan it yourself?

We bought our fitted wardrobes from Howdens, they planned and our builder installed. They've been in for close on 10 years and still look lovely.

I had a bad experience with Howdens - cost a fortune, most of which I think went in our builder's pocket. Still, useful! Thank you.

Do you mean fitted wardrobes? I’m looking at this at the moment and most likely will go with a local joiner (ask for recommendations on local Facebook group), rather than a brand/shop.

We had fitted handing and shelves for shoes and coats across a wall - three floor to ceiling units about 5m across and cost £4K by a local company. All the doors are peeling and they regularly come off the hinges. About 3 years old.

We are paying Hammonds to fit the bedroom. Nice design, nice colour. They use CAD design so you get a copy at the appointment to see what it will look like.
£5500 for a lot of storage and units.

Meant to add. My research for the two projects didn't show any significant difference in price between known names and local firms. We didn't like Sliderobes, Sharps was quite boring for a similar price and this is really creative in the use of space

I’ve not done this but I think Ikea do fitted units? I’ve used their internal storage and it’s very good.
