Around 3 years ago after seeing lots of good reports on here we got a Rock door new front door, we are really pleased with it. Now my back door needs replacing and I fancy a stable door style in the same colour as our front door. I've contacted them twice and not had an response, and they are also failing to reply to my "I have not been contacted" message. Somewhat disturbingly I have also come across some recent poor reviews. Has anyone had any recent dealings with them and how did you find them? If this situation continues can anyone recommend someone else for a good quality composite back door?

Mo, no contact at all, I went with the local Solidor fitter in the end, we had a lovely stable door fitted last Friday, in exactly the same colour as the front door. If you live near Stroud let me know and I'll give you the details.

Oh that's strange that Rockdoor didn't bother to contact you. I wonder what's going on with them. I don't live near Stroud but thank you. (Wish i did though as we visited once on holiday and it was lovely!)

We just had a Solidor fitted - the Ludlow in French grey with Victorian etched glass and chrome knocker. It is absolutely stunning and feels so secure. Really impressed

I've just asked for a quote from Solider. Can I ask how much yours came to please ?

I like my solidor, it was £1400 but that included a glazed window above the door.

Ours was £1650 in Surrey. Was the cheapest quote we got, others were around the £2k mark

Yes it did. Had it fitted on Tuesday. It took 5 weeks from ordering to fitting and only had to pay 10% deposit upon ordering

Ours is a stable door, white inside and Chartwell green outside with
multipanelled frosted glass in the top. It was About £1750 but I think it was one of the more expensive ones. It was about 5 weeks from order to fitting, the fitters were lovely.

I think the Solidor Ludlow Solid in duck egg blue would be nice on my house
