TSB underwriting

Good morning!
Was wondering if anyone had experience with TSB mortgage applications?
Our application has been accepted and we have provided all documentation they require - does anyone know how long the underwriting process takes, and when we could expect to hear back?

I believe they are doing desktop valuations on LTV of up to 85% - so hopefully this will speed things up for us

Hi,

When you say accepted do you mean you've had a mortgage in principle?

We submitted our application 06/06 and then it was sent to the underwriter on the following Thursday. They requested more docs on 19th and we still haven't heard anything since!
Our broker keeps chasing it up but they can't give a time scale. The waiting is all very stressful.

Have you progressed at all?

I used to do mortgage admin, TSB/Lloyds are crap underwriting, you'll be waiting a while

@Aimz1242

We applied for our mortgage with them on the 5th June and received a mortgage offer on the 19th. Our application went to the underwriter on the 6th and they requested initial documents then. We had to supply more supporting documents on the 18th but then the next day had our offer.
We really pressured our broker to push for an answer, as they had received an email from TSB saying they had a backlog and we’re behind their usual turnaround time.

My fingers are crossed you hear something soon! Keep pushing your broker.

Yeh think I’m starting to realise that....
we went with them over West Brom one of the reasons being we thought they’d be quicker but they just keep saying it’ll be next week.

Congrats on your mortgage offer!!

We are first time buyers so we weren’t sure how long to wait originally they said 6 working days so it’s really stressful waiting. Our broker is going to ring them again tomorrow so fingers crossed.

@Aimz1242 I understand your frustration as we're in the same position, albeit with NatWest. We've been waiting over a month now, and have started prodding our mortgage broker every few days in the hope that he'll apply some pressure. Fingers crossed for us and for you!
