Composite door cost

I need a new front door so I’m getting quotes from local firms for a composite door. I’ve had one quote so far, £1800 plus £130 fitting cost. This is for the door with 2 glazed panels, premium colour (so not the standard colours Like white or grey), frame and glazed top light.

I am getting other quotes But if anyone can please give me an idea of what they paid that would be really helpful.

Thank you!

I paid £1400 last year for a Solidor in green with a glazed top light pane above the door. One largeish glazed panel in the door. That included fitting, lock, handle.

Ours was about £1600 I think. We had patio doors done at the same time and I can’t quite be sure of the beak down. Standard colour, 2 glass panels. Was fine by West Yorkshire Windows about 2 years ago.

Oh, thank you very much! I’m hopeful I will get some slightly lower quotes then but it sounds in the right ballpark. I suspect the colour choice and glazing type (coloured pattern glass) might have bumped my price up

I work for a company manufacturing composite doors. Colour choice makes quite a big difference to the price and again the coloured glass can be a LOT more expensive depending on the design.

We had a new one done 2 years ago. Premium door but normal glass and composite. Circa £800 plus fitting

Actually, ours isn’t composite, it is solid core.

Thanks everyone for the advice. Have 2 more companies coming to quote so fingers crossed I will get a good deal

I paid £900 earlier this year from a small local company. Navy blue with large glass panel on the top half. I’m so happy with it.
