Even in this market, 600k property has gone to sealed bids!

A friend of mine was interested in a 4 bedroom rural property near Horsham up for about 600k set in an acre. It has gone to sealed bids!
I'm amazed as the market seems so shaky.
I'm wondering if people are making optimistic offers without a mortgage.
I guess even in a buyers market the right property will always sell.

For a 4 bed in an acre in that area, I’m not surprised! £600k sounds like an amazing bargain. We’re thinking of moving and have had a three bed character property but roadside and small garden valued at £550 this week. Similarly, a two bed in need of complete renovation and extension, with just over an acre, has come on the market at over £400k, less than a mile away. We are a few miles from Horsham!

600 makes no difference.
