I really can't decide which mirror over our fireplace..which is black and Victorian style. Opinions please.

This shape, arched

Or round

Round is more pleasing on the eye imo

Alrhough the arch might be more living room iykwim. They're borh nice

Round one

CottonSock · 02/06/2020 19:42

That's interesting results. I initially liked round, but then thought it wasn't quite symmetrical against fireplace mantel. Not quite sure if that's what I mean. Amazon do a larger one I was also considering

Is 70x70 big enough for your fireplace? I read somewhere that for art/mirror hanging above something (fireplace/piece of furniture) a good rule is to aim for at least 2/3 width of whatever is below. The arched in nicer imo for a livingroom.

CottonSock · 02/06/2020 20:36

@jenjenn I'm not sure it will be..

I saw a larger one on made, but out of stock. Maybe I'll keep looking. I like these which are huge, but dh not keen

Love the shape of the Rockford one! Fireplace is such a central feature it is worth getting something you love. Just imagine decorating it for christmas when you have a fabulous mirror to work with :)

GemmeFatale · 03/06/2020 11:59

I think round is very of the moment. That may sway you one way or the other.

Bluntness100 · 03/06/2020 12:01

The arch one is much more in keeping and all round nicer.
