Macclesfield - which parts are better for schools and families?

Hi,

We are looking to move to Macclesfield and have seen a few new builds and older style properties, but wasn’t too sure which parts are better? I am familiar with Bollington as friends live there and I understand that the secondary school local to there doesn’t have the best reputation or outcomes. However I’ve read that Fallibroome is quite sought after, but catchment quite small.

We currently have two children, baby and a Y1 in September, so secondary is a little way off, but want to live somewhere nice, good access to green spaces, nice bars/restaurants (when they reopen) and train to Manchester, so this area seems to tick all of the boxes. It’s just where to focus our search?

Any advice?

Thanks.
